is my tank cycle done?
Ive been cycling it for two weeks with a few fish and chemicals cycle, but I do not want to buy These test kits exensize water, and do strange things growing on the glass, it is cycled. the makings of algae is super hard to see who is more clear.
The only way to tell for sure is to get a test kit and check the water. Strips test are not super accurate, but should work for you. If you have zero ammonia and nitrite at the moment then you have a cycle. But the tank not match the cycle for the number of fish you have there, if you still need to add additional fish in stages to build the cycle. Algae / Etc. allways diatoms grow in the tank, they are not really related to the cycle, so can not use that as a guide. If you are not sure, leave a week or two, if your fish are always very well it is probably safe to add a little more. If you do not test water take things slowly and your fish should. Rush things and you could have a disaster. Ian
